It is the core equipment in the power distribution system, mainly used to convert 10kV or 35kV medium voltage to 230/400V low voltage electricity for users to use. The biggest difference between it and the traditional oil-immersed transformer is its "oil-free" design-the use of solid materials such as epoxy resin or air for insulation and heat dissipation, completely eliminating the risk of oil leakage and explosion and fire.

Transformer Safety
This kind of transformer has great advantages in safety. Its coils are usually vacuum-cast with epoxy resin, which has the characteristics of non-flammable, flame-retardant and self-extinguishing. They can be quickly extinguished even in the face of open flames. Therefore, they are often installed in densely populated places such as shopping malls, hospitals, subway stations, and basements of high-rise buildings. It is the preferred solution in scenarios with extremely high fire protection requirements.
In terms of performance, dry transformers perform well. It uses high-quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheet, low no-load and load loss, high energy efficiency level, and minimal noise during operation (usually controlled at about 50-60 decibels), and will not cause noise pollution to the surrounding environment. In addition, it also has strong short-circuit resistance and high moisture resistance. It can operate normally even in a 100% humidity environment. After the outage, it can be put into operation directly without complex drying treatment.


Transformer Operation and Maintenance
In terms of operation and maintenance, the dry-type transformer has achieved "maintenance-free" or "less maintenance". Since there is no transformer oil, users do not need to conduct regular oil sample testing, oil change or disposal of waste oil, which greatly reduces the cost and difficulty of operation and maintenance. With the intelligent temperature control system, it can monitor the winding temperature in real time and automatically start and stop the fan to dissipate heat, further improving the reliability and service life of the power supply (usually up to 30+ years).
