In power transmission, in order to reduce long-distance transmission losses, power stations will use high voltages to send electricity to cities and factories. However, such a high voltage cannot be directly connected to electrical appliances or ordinary equipment at home, and a step-down transformer is required at this time. Its task is very simple-to turn high-voltage electricity into low-voltage electricity suitable for use, such as reducing 10kV to 380V, 220V or even lower. The appearance looks like a square box with an iron or aluminum shell, with an iron core and a winding coil inside. The primary side is connected to the high voltage, and the secondary side outputs the low voltage.
