Environmentally Friendly Insulating Gas Solution

 

With the increasingly stringent global environmental regulations, the extremely high greenhouse effect potential (GWP) of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) poses compliance risks to procurement.Kechang high-pressure GIS uses AirPlus environmentally friendly gas (GWP<1) instead of SF GAS, reducing emissions by 99.99%, which meets the requirements of the Kyoto Protocol. The gas is mainly composed of dry air, there is no risk of suffocation, and there is no need to be equipped with additional detectors and protective devices to reduce safety risks and costs. It is suitable for green cities and new energy power stations.

 

Compact Design, Ultimate Space Saving

 

Urban core areas, subways and data centers generally face land constraints. Relying on excellent gas insulation properties, the equipment significantly shortens the interphase distance, and the volume is 60% smaller than that of traditional air-insulated switchgear (AIS), which is only 1/3 of similar products. The modular design seals the components in a stainless steel shell, which can flexibly combine functional units, eliminating the need to build a separate power distribution room, saving land and infrastructure costs.

High Air Tightness, Corrosion Resistance and Weather Resistance

 

Harsh environments such as outdoor, high humidity, and dust can easily lead to insulation failures, and air tightness is essential. The air tank of the equipment is made of 304 stainless steel, welded by a robot, equipped with high elastic seals, and the annual leakage rate is <0.5% (in line with EN 62271-203 standard). The protection level is IP67, which can resist salt spray, dust, and rain erosion. It can operate stably at -40℃~45℃ and within 4,000 meters above sea level without additional protection. It is suitable for coastal and plateau areas.

 

Integrated Monitoring of Gas and Local Discharge

 

Gas leakage and partial discharge are the main hidden dangers of GIS operation, and it is difficult to predict in traditional methods. The equipment has built-in sensors and monitoring modules to collect pressure, temperature, and local discharge data in real time, and the local discharge detection sensitivity is <5pC (in line with CE certification). The data is uploaded remotely through the MODBUS/RS485 protocol, and the alarm is automatically triggered when it is abnormal to achieve accurate operation and maintenance and reduce the risk of failure.

Long Life, Maintenance-free Operation

 

Service life and operation and maintenance costs directly affect the purchase value. Sealing the core components can avoid aging and corrosion, and the design life is more than 30 years; the mechanical life of the spring operating mechanism exceeds 30,000 times, and the whole process is maintenance-free; conventional operation does not require air replenishment and cleaning, only remote and regular monitoring is required to reduce the operation and maintenance costs of unattended substations.
