Power Distribution transformer
The selection question that customers are most concerned about: how big to buy? How to choose?
When purchasing Power Distribution Transformer, customers often face the dilemma of "choosing a big waste, choosing a small burning machine". Based on industry experience, we have sorted out the three core considerations for you.
01
Scientific computing capacity (Capacity)
Don't simply select the type according to the total power of the current equipment. The engineering community generally follows the principle of 80% load rate. For example, if the total load is 800kVA, it is recommended to choose a 1000kVA transformer. Retaining 20% of the redundant space can not only absorb the inrush current of heavy-duty motors when they start, avoid tripping, but also reserve space for future production line expansion and extend equipment life.
02
Deal with harmonic interference (K-Factor)
Modern factories are filled with frequency converters, LED screens, and automated robots. These devices produce "harmonics" that cause ordinary transformers to overheat. If you have a large non-linear load in your scene, be sure to pay attention to the K-factor. Ordinary factories may only need K4 grade, while factories with a high degree of automation require K13 grade transformers, and their enhanced neutral line design can effectively resist harmonic damage.
03
Environmental determination type: oil-immersed vs dry
Oil-Immersed: good heat dissipation, strong overload capacity, low cost, suitable for outdoor, box-type substations or heavy industrial environments. Mineral oil not only insulates, but also efficiently takes away heat.
Dry-type: oil-free, fire-proof, explosion-proof, maintenance-free, suitable for indoor places with high safety requirements, such as hospitals, shopping malls, subways and underground mines.

Our core advantages: Why choose us?
Combined with Kechang's in-depth experience in the electrical field, our Power Distribution Transformer is not only a compliance product, but also creates long-term value for you in the following technical details:

01
Extreme energy efficiency, reduce TCO (total cost of ownership)
We strictly follow national energy efficiency standards (such as S13 series and amorphous alloy technology). Compared with older models, our products can significantly reduce no-load loss and load loss. For industrial customers who need 24-hour continuous operation, this means that huge electricity bills can be saved every year, and the difference in equipment upgrades can usually be recovered within 1-2 years.
02
Excellent short circuit resistance
Power grid fluctuations or short-circuit shocks are the biggest "killer" of transformers. We use the same winding process (Layer winding) and high-strength iron core structure to ensure that the winding remains stable under the impact of huge electric power. This not only passed the sudden short circuit test of the authoritative testing agency, but also ensured the long-term reliability in the harsh power grid environment.
03
Rigorous process and sealing technology
For oil-immersed transformers, we use vacuum oiling and vacuum drying processes to minimize the micro-water content and prevent the aging of the insulating oil. At the same time, high-quality acrylate rubber gaskets are used to ensure that the fully sealed structure remains "oil-free" after temperature difference changes or long-distance transportation, greatly reducing operation and maintenance costs.
FAQ

01. Is it normal to have a "buzzing" sound when the transformer is running?
02. Does the transformer need regular maintenance?
Dry transformers are basically maintenance-free and only need regular dust removal; Oil-immersed transformers are recommended to undergo regular oil chromatographic analysis (DGA) to monitor internal latent faults and ensure safe operation.
