The Outdoor Ring Main Unit (RMU) is compact prefabricated medium-voltage switchgear built for ring network nodes in distribution power systems. It integrates load break switch, earthing switch, protection and metering modules within one enclosure. Fully assembled, wired and tested before factory delivery, the unit only needs positioning and fixing on site for commissioning. Manufactured to comply with IEC and GB standards for distribution equipment, it performs circuit sectionalizing, isolation and fault protection. It supports loop switching to limit outage area and improve power supply reliability of distribution networks. Thanks to its modular design, functions can be customized with protection, metering or communication modules for connection to distribution automation systems, forming a stable medium-voltage ring power supply solution.

Application Environment
Designed for outdoor exposed installation, the outdoor RMU can operate continuously under open-air conditions. Its operating temperature ranges from -30℃ to +55℃, adapting to large temperature swings, dust and humid climate. Anti-corrosion coating options are available for coastal salt-prone areas. The enclosure provides good dust and water ingress protection against rain, condensation and UV aging. Widely deployed in urban green belts, residential power supply points, industrial park outdoor sites, and power distribution nodes for solar and wind farms.
