Prefabricated box-type substations are a complete set of power distribution equipment that is very commonly used in power projects at present, and are widely used in residential areas, industrial parks, and various new energy power stations. The reason why the popularity rate is getting higher and higher is that it is compact in size, easy to construct on site, stable in late operation, and its overall practicality is far better than traditional split power distribution facilities. The overall performance of the equipment depends entirely on the internal cabin structure design and the cooperation effect of various components.

This box transformer adopts the industry's mature three-compartment independent partition layout, which completely separates the high-pressure, transformer, and low-pressure systems. This kind of physical isolation design avoids interference with each other by equipment of different voltage levels to the greatest extent, which can not only reduce the risk of failure, but also facilitate daily inspections and local maintenance by staff, and the overall safety factor is higher.

The hyperbaric chamber is the power inlet and the first safety line of defense of the entire set of equipment. The internal standard is equipped with core devices such as load switches, high-voltage fuses, and lightning arresters. Under daily working conditions, the load switch is responsible for the circuit start-stop, on-off control; once the circuit overload or short circuit problem is encountered, the fuse will instantly fuse and power off, guarding the safety bottom line of the back-end equipment. At the same time, the lightning arrester can resist lightning strikes and operate overvoltage, and avoid high-voltage shocks from damaging the entire equipment.

The independent transformer compartment in the middle is the core area of electrical energy conversion. It is completely separated from the hyperbaric chamber by a fireproof partition, and the fire safety is full. Manufacturers will match and adapt the models according to the working conditions of the project. Oil-immersed transformers with stable heat dissipation are used in outdoor conventional projects. Dry transformers are preferred for scenes with dense personnel and high fire protection requirements such as hospitals and supermarkets to achieve fire and explosion-proof, safe and worry-free. The equipment is equipped with a real-time temperature measuring device, automatic early warning of over-temperature, start-up heat dissipation, and stably reduce the high voltage of 10kV and 35kV to 0.4kV civil and industrial low-voltage electricity.

The electrical energy after the step-down will be sent into the low-pressure chamber to complete the final optimization and distribution work. The low-voltage compartment integrates a reactive power compensation device, a total circuit switch, and a metering meter, which can automatically adjust the power factor according to the operating state of the power grid, reducing useless energy consumption and improving power efficiency. At the same time, according to different electricity consumption needs, the electrical energy is accurately distributed to different circuits such as residential electricity consumption and industrial electricity consumption, and the electric meter synchronously and accurately counts the electricity consumption to meet the needs of billing statistics.

Compact Substation

The three major compartments each perform their duties and cooperate in linkage to form a complete closed loop of power receiving-transformer-power distribution. The new type of box transformer is additionally equipped with an intelligent monitoring module to collect operating data in real time to achieve early warning of faults and remote operation and maintenance. The overall integrated design significantly reduces the construction cycle and saves site space. It is a high-quality solution for urban power grid transformation, new energy grid-connected, and industrial power distribution.
