The basic role of five anti-interlocking high-voltage cabinets

Ordinary high-voltage switchgear comes standard with mechanical + electrical dual five-proof interlocking. The core is to restrain the operation sequence of operators and prevent electric shock, short circuit, and power failure caused by human misoperation. It is the most basic safety barrier for power distribution equipment.

1. Prevent mis-division and mis-combination of circuit breakers, avoid power failure for no reason or forcibly send power to the maintenance line.

2. It is forbidden to bring a load separation isolation switch. Forcibly closing the gate under the load current will produce a strong electric arc, which will burn personnel and equipment.

3. It is strictly forbidden to bring a combined grounding switch and hang a grounding wire. Live grounding will directly cause a short circuit of the busbar, which can easily cause personal injury or death.

4. When the grounding switch is not disconnected, the circuit breaker and isolation switch cannot be closed to prevent the ground wire from sending electricity to the cabinet.

5. The cabinet door is mechanically locked when the interval in the cabinet is charged, and the door can only be opened after the gate is opened and reliably grounded to avoid personnel straying into the live interval and being electrocuted.

The complete set of interlocks relies on the linkage of mechanical connecting rods, program locks, and live display devices, which cannot be easily unlocked artificially, and standardizes the whole process of maintenance and reverse braking.

Explosion-proof mining complete set of additional safety design

The underground of the mine is filled with flammable and explosive media such as gas and coal dust. The ordinary five-proof is not enough. The mine explosion-proof and high-pressure complete sets will be superimposed with multiple exclusive safety structures, which are just needed for export to Russian mining projects.

01. Explosion-proof high-strength housing

Thickened steel plate welded cavity, precision explosion-proof joint surface, the shell will not burst when the internal explosion occurs, and the flame cannot escape from the cabinet to ignite the underground gas; all fasteners are equipped with anti-loosening washers, and the underground vibration will not be loose for a long time.

02.  Real-time gas monitoring and power-off system

Built-in methane sensor, once the gas concentration exceeds the standard, the equipment will automatically trip and power off, preventing the electric spark from detonating the mixed gas from the source.

03.  Fully sealed and highly protective structure

The cabinet body is sealed with IP54 and above, and the cable inlet adopts a special explosion-proof sealing joint, so that dust and gas cannot penetrate into the cabinet; all internal non-metallic parts are treated with anti-static electricity to prevent static sparks.

04.  Multiple fault protection modules

Equipped with a comprehensive mine protector, it integrates a full set of protection for leakage, short circuit, overcurrent, undervoltage, and phase disconnection, and power failure at the millisecond level of failure; a pressure release channel is added to quickly relieve pressure from internal arc faults to prevent deformation and rupture of the shell.

05. Low temperature, impact resistance, adaptation design

Rockfall and mechanical vibration are frequent down the well, and shock absorption brackets are installed in the cabinet; for the subzero low temperature of the Russian mining area, the heating device in the cabinet is standard to avoid insulation condensation and leakage.

06.  Explosion-proof exclusive interlocking and identification

On the basis of the conventional five-proof, the explosion-proof door interlock is added, and the power is directly cut off when the lid is opened; the whole machine is issued with a complete explosion-proof certification, and the standardized explosion-proof logo and Russian warning nameplate are engraved to meet the requirements of the Eurasian Union TR CU 012 explosion-proof customs clearance.

Overall, ordinary high-voltage cabinets rely on five-proof to avoid human operation risks. Mine explosion-proof complete sets are superimposed on this with multiple protections such as explosion-proof housing, gas monitoring, anti-static, and special protection to adapt to high-risk mine working conditions. It is also a safety configuration that must be checked when purchasing equipment for overseas mining projects.
